Lead the integration in the mother entity of a direct bank for the SME market in The Netherlands and manage “IT and Operations” till the end of the winding down.


  • Multiple locations and stakeholders

  • Reduce the size of the bank and the integration project teams in line with the decreasing activities


  • Definition of the roadmap to wind down (personnel, services and products, interfacing and contracts/SLA’s)
  • Proposal for segmentation of customers based on products and payment history and proposal with approach and actions per segment to integrate or to handover to bailiffs
  • Definition and implementation of communication, processes, procedures and system adaptations to support the integration (e.g. Local Banks representatives, Legal, Controlling, Payments and Cards experts, Communication experts)
  • Perform pilot with selected Local Banks
  • Definition, steering and follow-up of the detailed runbook/planning for winding down with all involved internal and external parties
  • Preparation, execution and follow-up of actions with all involved parties while measuring impact and progress on a daily basis
  • Implementation of detailed status reporting to manage and steer client flows and day-to-day work
  • Support the transfer of the remaining credit portfolio


  • The integration was smooth for customers and stakeholders and “noiseless” as requested
  • Full completion of the integration and the winding down
