Implementing the core banking system for the go-live of a new direct bank for the SME market in The Netherlands.

Challenge

  • Take over the management of the complex core banking stream of a critical programme aimed at installing a new direct bank for the SME market in The Netherlands
  • Short timelines given the scope, team size and status at the start of the assignment

Approach

  • Responsible for delivering functional specifications of products and functionality according to applicable internal and external requirements
  • Follow-up of system development, hosting setup, testing, acceptance and after care
  • Implementation of the product offering: current and savings accounts, term deposits, debit cards, credit cards, bank guarantee, loans and credit facilities
  • Implementation of functionality: account opening, (domestic) payments, Know Your Customer, Digipass, nostro reconciliation, BKR registration, derived identification, VIS/EVA check, Customer Due Diligence policy, AML policy, SMS alerts, Basle II data storage, treasury, funding, credit manual, internal and external reporting
  • Management and follow-up of diverse internal and external suppliers and stakeholders (e.g. Paysquare credit cards, Oberthur debit cards, Equens CSP, De Lage Landen credit scoring, hosting at Schuberg Philis, client identification by AMP)

Impact

  • Approximately 5 months after the start of the assignment, the bank went live successfully
